This article in today's WaPo is frightening...Civil Rights Charges Dog Citizen Patrols on Border (beware of popups). Apparently, some Americans along the Arizona/Mexico border are taking border patrol into their own hands--and stomping out their own humanity in the process.  I recognize this is only one article and is likely highly one-sided, but if there is any truth in the allegations that regular Americans are impersonating law enforcement officials and "pistol whipping" suspected illegal migrants, it is sickening.
