Greetings all. It's been quite a while, I know. Work didn't compel me to write again; politics didn't compel me to write again; my thoughts about Bend It Like Beckham didn't compel me to write again.

No. None of those things brought me back here. Instead, it's the impending conclusion of Buffy. *sniff* I haven't read any spoilers, and have absolutely no idea how this all will end, but I felt compelled to write something, anything, about a fandom that led me to the best people in my life. I can't go to the quasi-official boards to write about it, as I'm sure they'll be full of spoilers, so--for those of you to whom I write, and you know who you are, read on.
