> Blogorama III.

I attended Blogorama III at the Rendezvous Lounge in Adams Morgan last night.  Very interesting evening--met some incredibly intelligent people--the kind you want to just keep talking to for hours so that you get a better idea of how their brain works--had a few drinks, and watched the snow start to blanket 18th Street from the comfort of the smoke-filled, album-covered-walls of the lounge.  The event was well-populated with libertarians, many affiliated in one way or another with The Cato Institute.  Bloggers of note (which is to say, those whose names I remember or wrote down) included

  • Mike from PerpetualBeta: In light of the recent dissolution of the Brobeck law firm, please be aware that I would be interested in hiring any attorneys formerly employed there
  • Julian with Notes from the Lounge: You'll be sitting there not sure how to proceed, and suddenly something clicks, and you're writing down the next line, and the next, and somehow -- even though you can't see the whole 20-step progression, or even the next few pieces -- you know unerringly how to proceed, you're sure that the next inference is a right and necessary step on the way to your final, dimly glimpsed goal
  • Missy: we danced with the other drunken people like we were back in the 7th grade and Duran Duran was the shit. It was fun.
  •  Jason: I'm coming to you live from Common Grounds in Clarendon thanks to wireless technology
  • Will with The Fly Bottle: a lot of confusion will vanish if you carefully attend to the contours of common thought and language
  • Tom: In my referrer logs today was the following google search: "tom bridge apple suck bite me and bite technology"
  • Tiffany: I have long known that I am not a fan of crowded, standing-room only, social situations. I'm becoming more tolerant of them, but they're still not my venue of choice. Here here!!
  • Radley: I'm giving you advance notice so you can plan your own, private celebrations with your families. It's a special, special season.

That certainly isn't everyone, and I'm hoping a more comprehensive list will appear soon, but it was a fun evening.
